When set, the chime setting allows you to hear a single pleasant tone when a door or window is opened. It's similar to the systems used in some retail stores. Like an automatic doorbell, it let's you know that someone has just triggered the alarm.

F.A.Q.'s

Q. My First Alert® Alarm System does not sound when the batteries are installed.What should I do?
A. 1. Ensure the batteries are inserted correctly.
2. Try using new batteries.
3. Make sure that the switch is in the ALARM position.

Q. The Alarm and Chime tones are diminishing in volume. What is wrong?
A. 1. It is time to change the batteries.

Q. How do I stop the Alarm from ringing?
A. The alarm will stop once the door or window is closed, or the switch is turned to the OFF position.

Q. The Alarm will not stop ringing even when the door or window is closed.
A. The Alarm Unit and the Magnetic Sensor are not properly aligned.
